You can use your Prepaid Card almost anywhere in the world that Visa® is accepted. It is an excellent choice to give as a gift for Graduation, Weddings, Birthdays, Christmas or any other special occasion. They are especially helpful to students that attend schools away from home, or in teaching the youth to save. They are also convenient for those who do not have a bank account and for those who travel for business as well as pleasure. We have several options to choose from:

Cards issued by TIB (The Independent Bankers Bank)

1. Non-Reloadable Cards can hold $25 to $1,000 and has a 7 year expiration date

Cards Issued by Simplexes (Meta Bank)

1. Non-Reloadable Cards can hold $10 to $1,000 and has a 5 year expiration date

2. Reloadable Cards can hold $20 to $10,000 and has a 3 year expiration date.

3. Travel Cards can hold $20 to $10,000 and has a 3 year expiration date.

What is a Visa® Prepaid Card?

A Visa® Prepaid Card is a pre-paid card that allows you to make purchases anywhere Visa® is accepted. The cards are loaded with a prepaid amount ranging from $10 to $1,000 for the Non-reloadable card and $25 to $3,000 for the Reloadable and Travel cards. As purchases are made the amounts are deducted from the card.

Who is eligible to purchase a Prepaid Card?

Anybody over the age of 18 with a valid ID card.

How do I purchase a Prepaid Card?

Cards may be purchased at any of Citizens Bank of Ada locations for a fee ranging from $4.95 to $9.95, depending on the type of card you have.

How do I use my Prepaid Card?

For purchases made in stores you can use either your PIN or Signature. To use your PIN, you must swipe the card as a debit transaction and then enter the PIN number (a 50¢ fee will apply to the Travel Card). To sign for your purchases, you must swipe the card as a credit transaction and then sign for your purchase. For ATM transactions, you will select "checking" for withdrawals (fees may apply).

How can I add funds to my card?

You can add additional funds to your Reloadable or Travel cards at any Citizens Bank of Ada locations for a $4.95 fee, online at for a $10.00 fee or by Direct Deposit for free. For more information about Direct Deposit, please contact any Citizens Bank of Ada location.

Card Fees:

Use your card soon. Although you may leave unused funds on the Card as long as you wish, a $2.50 Monthly fee will be assessed after 12 months of continuous inactivity on the Non-reloadable card and a $2.95 Monthly fee will be assessed after 12 months of continuous inactivity on the Travel card.

The Reloadable cards have a $3.00 monthly fee which is waived with monthly direct deposit. These fees may change upon appropriate notice to you. When you use an ATM other than a Citizens Bank of Ada ATM, you may also be charged fees by third parties for the use of the ATM.


Can I use my Prepaid Card online?

Yes, you can, however some merchants use the address as a means of verification so we recommend that you register your card by logging onto the website on the back of your card.


What if my purchases are more than the balance on my Prepaid Card?

You may inform the cashier that you want to pay with two different methods (Split Transaction), however you must know the balance on your card to do this. Then the cashier will swipe your card for the balance amount and you can pay the difference with cash, credit card, etc.


What do I do if my Prepaid Card is lost or stolen?

You must cancel your card immediately by calling: (580) 332-6100 Mon - Sat. from 8:00am to 8:00pm (CST) so we can replace your card and transfer any remaining funds. We recommend that you keep the number on the back of your card in a safe place in case your card is lost or stolen after hours.

Is there anywhere my Prepaid Card cannot be used?

The Non-Reloadable Card cannot be used at Airlines, Car Rental Establishments, Cruise Lines, and Casinos, for recurring-billing or to transact a Cash Advance at a financial institution. All cards cannot be used at casinos. Non-Reloadable Cards issued by Meta Bank cannot be used internationally however, the Non-Reloadable Card issued by TIB can be used internationally.

Can cards be used at a gas station?

The Reloadable and Travel Cards can be used at the pump, however, an authorization of $75 will be authorized to your account. This authorization may not be removed from your account for several days. To prevent a potential over-authorization, we suggest that you pay for your gas in the service station. The Non-Reloadable Card cannot be used at the pump, however, you can use your card inside the service station to pay for your gas.

What happens when the card is used at a "Tip-Oriented" Merchant?

When a restaurant or other merchant (spas, hair salons, etc.) that is accustomed to adding a "tip" to the amount of the purchase, they may authorize up to 20% over the actual transaction amount the amount of the bill.

What happens when the card is used at a Hotel/Motel?

When checking into a hotel, the merchant will pre-authorize an amount greater than the actual room rate. They do this to cover incidental charges. These include room service charges, movie rental, etc. If the customer is staying more than one day, the merchant will pre-authorize an even greater amount.

Balances can be checked via the phone number or website on the back of your card.
